Thursdays at the Boys and Girls Club

This year, we hope to continue our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club in downtown Framingham.  RFL students tutored children in math, reading, social studies, and science.  They also helped kids who had difficulty understanding how to complete their homework.  In addition, RFL students participated in ping pong, fooze ball, and indoor soccer.  We’ll let you know when this community service project begins.

Parent Information Meeting

Parent Meetings will begin in earnest on September 21.  Dinner will be served from 5:45 to 6:15, and we will begin the program shortly thereafter.  All RFL parents and students are expected to attend the first meeting during which we will explain some changes in the program for this school year.  Other parent meetings for 2009 are scheduled for October 5 and 19, November 2 and 16, and December 7.  The last meeting will feature a potluck Holiday Party for students and parents.  Remember, teacher progress reports are distributed at the parent meetings.

Apple Picking at Lookout Farm in Natick

Opportunities to socialize with Resiliency students and staff outside of school will begin with an apple picking trip in early October.  There is no cost associated with participating in this event.  We’ll announce a date real soon.

Rodman Ride for Kids—September 26

RFL students hope to participate in the 25 mile bike ride to raise money for agencies that help children.
